Course History:
Tularcitos is a real course located in the Milpitas/Fremont area of California. This area is due east of San Jose. The course was purchased many years ago and renamed "Summit Pointe Golf Course". This is from the readme file that comes with this course. I have searched for the course but have been unable to learn anything about it.
First Impressions:
A very nice custom panorama was created giving you the impression that you are playing just outside a community located somewhere in the high desert. The planting here also confirms that location. Rather sparse with a lot of scrub trees and the course has an arid look to it. Good views off of the tee boxes with some very picturesque golf holes. The par 3's in particular are very nice.
Strategy:
The course is fairly easy off the tee boxes with no requirement to fade or draw your tee shot. It has an interesting layout and the approach shots while being very open can be difficult the first time around due to the many elevation changes involved. Club selection here is very important if you want to score well. After playing the course a few times your scores should decrease considerably. The par 5's are not reachable on the font nine but both are reachable on the back with some good risk/reward. The greens are somewhat contoured and putting here is not overly difficult.
Favorite Hole:
Hole #11. The view while playing your approach into the green looks very nice here.
Overall:
A different look to this course gives it a lot of appeal. Not many golf courses have been created to this point with a high desert type of atmosphere. This recreation does a good job of conveying the feeling that you are in the area where the actual course is located very well. The mechanics of the course were very well done. The elevations, hazards, planting, objects, and cart paths are all handled very well. The amount of effort required to produce the course is evident throughout the round. This course is certainly worth the time to download and I highly recommend it.

A very good Northern California course that shows off an excellent panorama. The elevation changes are very good and with the new changes in object rendering.....The planting really steps out from other courses. A definite download is suggested for a good addition to your course library.
