COURSE NOTES
A fictional course and located somewhere in Northern Ontario, Canada (although the new panorama is not of that location). IMO it does represent a very similar view.

As stated in previous Readme, this is a lifelong project and I will continue to improve it to the best of my APCD ability. Therefore, it is not necessary to release it as a beta.

The changes are as followed;

1. The textures, as the new course name indicates are 1024 by 1024. They are a mixture of my own and other generous designers such as, Paul Seaman, Lez Marwick and Mr. McCoist.

2. New panorama, which I believe to be by the one and only (Master of panoramas) Daniel Watson.

3. Fall colored trees are all replace and some moved or removed, giving the course a summer look. Added other 2D objects (crowd, tournament etc.). Replaced grasses.

4. Hole #9 around the green has the biggest alterations, adding a green side bunker and the pond was modified and moved. The course pretty much plays the same as before, which as a player I found it challenging and yet fair (at least IMO).

Unfortunately, the file is larger and the shadow file creation is lengthy, about 1 minutes and 45 second on my PC.

Thank you ALL for continuing to contribute (designing, skies, 2D objects etc.) and keeping Links alive. The list is endless therefore it is impossible to name all. Robert Miller, Mike Jones, Stewart Parker and the above names already mentioned earlier certainly deserve to be on top of the list. As well, Jerry Garlisch and all the admin at Link Corner, and yes, all the members/posters in the forum. I have definitely been entertained and educated by all.

Sincerely,
Joe

Description
Fictional, parkland course

Concept  3/10
Although designed with the noblest of sentiments, and carefully crafted and updated over the years, Zachary O\'s weakest aspect remains its hole design, with an assortment of lies that are rather silly and penal. Rather than holes that flow with the landscape, you find eighteen determinedly isolated tracks, with hazards placed in many places where you have no reasonable bail-out options. Although the continual improvement is admirable, you have to wonder whether the course is worth persevering with.
Appearance  7/10
Plenty of kudos here; the course has been fully overhauled with high-res textures and nice underplanting provides a contrast to the rather stark early origins. Lots of little \'extras\' crowd around the tee and the panorama is a master of understatement. There are still a number of clones visible, though, and the rather generic bunker blends must be a target for future development.
Playability  6/10
Some of the more target-oriented holes are fun; others just feel restrictive and boring. Such are the perils of hole-by-hole design, and it\'s really another illustration of why this course doesn\'t fully click. A lack of ambient sound does nothing to alleviate the sterile atmosphere.
Challenge  6/10
It\'s hard to take the difficulties seriously at Zachary O. There is a certain inevitability that you will fall foul of the cynical trap placement, but in their favour, escapes are usually easy. The greens are disproportionately small, and seeing the unthreatening fringe regions, you have to question why - there will be plenty of chips left close. On the whole, if you approach the course with the caution that the designer is clearly mandating, then a sub-70 score is definitely feasible.
Technical  6/10
There\'s no denying the leaps and bounds in visual technique, and I hope that Joe continues to push his APCD skills in the right direction. Perhaps a new course might be a better template
Overall The golfing values aren\'t great, but this course is now visually impressive and worth a round on that basis alone. 28/50
