As per the request by Dace, this has been made a Beta version.

This is now the Final.
I made the few changes, new texture in bunkers and greens, and fixed the OB problem on overhead.
Still have textures that are out of scale in deep rough, not sure what caused this, I tried to use another texture and the scale was wrong there as well. So I left it as the orignal.
Also I did not lock the course so if anyone wants the textures they can get them now. I don't really know how to make them, I just get them from other courses.
Thanks again and I hope this will make it a little better for those that didn't care for the other textures.

Concept 9/10
I have always had a soft spot - dating back to the original MS 2000 release - for this open mountain-side course, the fenced off plantation land, and the honesty with which it presents its (not unreasonable) challenges. Dace has done a smashing job at a new HD rendition, and there is no doubting his success at transferring the pine-fresh mountain environment. I would have liked to see a little more finesse in the hole preview comments, but otherwise this is hard to fault. |
Appearance 7/10
A nice selection of textures, except for the one on the green, which is pretty poor. The planting has been well-selected and the panorama is perfect. The whole thing is set off with the extensive fencing, which is less intrusive than on the Microsoft originals. I would have liked to see a little more attention paid to the off-course features: there are some pretty lumpy elevations and lots of cloned resort buildings. |
Playability 8/10
It\'s hard not to enjoy a course of this length. A massively refreshing change from the regular releases of ultra-long tournament courses, Bountiful uses its slopes to maximum effect and there are several intelligent options, especially when you\'ve learned the course. Dace has used some intelligent sound planting for atmosphere, and that makes it all the more enjoyable. |
Challenge 6/10
Surprisingly, the course doesn\'t play too easily, although part of this is due to some rather severe greening. The decision to make the rough largely deep was a good one, though, and puts the emphasis back on intelligent fairway-and-green play, which is all part of the course\'s appeal. |
Technical 7/10
Other than a few erroneous textures and perhaps a little underwork green-side, Bountiful holds together perfectly well. No, it\'s not perfect, but it\'s a good example of what the designer can achieve with the right material. |
