Description of Course:
Thank you for downloading Putunqua, you have made a good choice. Putunqua is a work of art, plain and simple. It's rolling fairways and attractive greens have been sculpted around lake soca. The tall trees and abundant wildlife surround you on every shot. It is not hard to get distracted here with all the breathtaking scenery but you have more important things to worry about, like your score!
After you soak up all the scenery you can take on the 6924-yard championship course. The course is fairly forgiving and offers a distinct challenge for every level of player. You will find generous fairways with fair landing areas as well as large bent grass greens. The main challenge at Putunqua lies in your approach to the greens. While most of the greens are fairly large, they are multi-tiered and distance control becomes extremely important.
I am sure you will enjoy your round here and I know you will have a unique experience unlike any you have ever had. Putunqua will quickly become one of your favorite courses and I know it will stay on your hard drive forever. You will soon see why we say: 'One round at Putunqua is never enough.'
Course Overview
Let me start by saying after reading the designer read me doc.I was excited about playing a round or two @ Putunqua..
But however, the read me Doc was the best part of this design..Unlike most first designs...where the layout is fairly simple with very little elevation changes and fairly flat greens...Putunqua, was just the opposite...The designer extruded, tilted, and raise the Course in places that it should not have been...I found the layout to be so awful that I honestly couldn't not even finish playing my round of golf..needless to say I was very disappointed after reading the designers read me...
His APCD skills are very limited ...I can remember my first hole/layout...it was just awful but to me it was the Bomb!..Bartholomew layout is very creative, I just hope he will visit the Tutorials here

I , can not recommend this course for dled..
Appearance: Planting was very redundant throughout the course, and the rather large rabbit in one of the fairways tell me that design must have just inserted shape and never actually beta tested his own design.
Playability: This course has way to many errors...It's not even playable in my opinion!
APCD: There is some many APCD error in this design..... the course would have been more enjoyable to me , if it was just flat..designer made elevation changes/extrusion without having a slightly of APCD skills
Overall: The design is weak in all areas..I only hope that if the designer intends to keep trying to design APCD Courses...that he first visits Links Corner and reads each and every tutorial available....
