I believe a few years back the final singles matches were changed to where had to be played out, so that there were no ties. If such is the case the only way USA can win the Ryder Cup is to win 8 matches and lose only 4 tomorrow with 14 points to retain cup, since they hold it now after winning at Hazeltine in 2016. Europe needs 14 1/2 points in order to take it away, so at least 5 wins and 7 losses for Europe tomorrow means they win the Ryder Cup.

Question to billw: This might have been discussed before, but driving is combined to distance and accuracy as there is not a separate rating for both. Please remind me just how the formula is set up to combine the 2 variables into just one rating. I see Stenson is best and Mickelson is worst. If the rating is for half each, might the rating be given more weight for distance---say 3/4 being the distance portion? Regarding putting I sure would love to see the ratings for putting of the original anis such as Annika, since she seems to hole all putts and usually birdies every hole.

I woould be surprised if distance is factored in at all.

gene_golf and KunkleMan,

My Tee formula is based on around 40% distance and 60% accuracy.

I think my logic at the time was that the older players were shorter and more accurate, so I could bring their tee number in line with the modern player.

It would be nice if we could set club distances on computer players, then the distance and accuracy could be independent of each other. Then each player would be more accurate.
