Bill,

As always, thanks for your efforts.

I wonder if we'll ever see you post conditions like these:

W
F(C)
F(C)

Nah. They'd probably shut the tournament down before it got that interesting.... Laugh

Friday Pin Locations

Front 9: 15,7,5,17,7,17,16,17,16
Back 9: 6,7,16,0,6,0,12,8,1

According to my info, pins on Holes 8,13, and 17 are basically in a similar location on both Thursday and Friday. These locations are the best I can do. If I'm wrong, post and we'll revise.

No Tee Info available.

Mostly Cloudy 77*, wind 9 mph, gusts 21 mph.

Course playing difficult today. We'll call it "gusty" today and call it "breezy" Saturday and Sunday when the wind is down a bit.

My Conditions: G M F(C)

rw,

You're right. The photo I looked at must have been updated later.

Here are the corrected locations:

Hole 1-0
Hole 8-9
Hole 9-10
Hole 10-9
Hole 11-2
Hole 13-3
Hole 15-12
Hole 16- 6
Hole 17-15

Didn't realize the mistake until I turned on the telecast.

I'm really sorry for the mistake

billw,

There is some guesswork involved at times, and I am not saying these were the best ones, as I just did a run through after noticing there were several quite a ways off, from the numbers you had posted initially:

The ones I used for my round today are as follows:

F9: 1.7.4.13.7.3.14.8.14
B9: 2,0,17,3,5,11,12,2,2

Again there may be errors in my own, but I followed my own procedure
as I have done in the past. This is 2010 update same course, of course.

Not to counter the Great billw, but thought I'd post mine here anyway. I don't care to really take it any further in discussion, I missed the cut by one with rounds of 74-76 (+6), and well I find Augusta rather frustrating at the best of times. Watching on TV today and yesterday, it is how it played for many fine players IRL. Sergio with his 13 on 15 yesterday.....I could hear him saying, in Links of Old fashion: "Sergio, you're playing like a 25 handicap!"

Saturday Pin Locations

These locations were taken directly off the Golf Channel's analysis of each pin location with Ben Crenshaw.

Front 9: 8,13,14,4,12,7,0,0,2
Back 9: 17,15,9,12,0,13,12,4,6

No Tee Info Today

Due to periods of rain today, course will be softer but greens will still be somewhat fast due to subair systems.

Periods of rain 67*, wind 5 mph

My Conditions: N S(C) M(C)

It must be a flood if the stimp at Augusta is 10! The anouncers should be saying "The greens are putting like a shag carpet!"

pmgolf,

I see what you're thinking.
Since the course firmness and green speeds are tied together, it's hard to replicate the real conditions of soft fairways and fast greens. I wanted the hardness to be slower than the green speed.
My thinking was that the stimp was set at 13 Thu and Fri, it needed to be slower Sat due to the rain. Sun things should be faster, but maybe not up to the speed of Thu and Fri, thus saving stimp of 12 for Sun if needed.

Remember, these settings are just my opinion. Anybody can use whatever they want.

Holes #4 and #16 seem to have slightly forward tees by watching tournament.
