There was a known issue in the past with some anti-virus programs (notably AVG) falsely identifying Links file rukshuk.exe as an infected file. It may have been quarantined by your anti-virus program which is why Links can't find it.

See this thread for some ideas:

Since I don't speak German, I don't know what that dialog box is suggesting - is the file missing or possibly corrupt?

I might suggest a couple options:

1. you could do a forum search on "rukshuk" and look for other possible explanations. When I did that to find the link to the thread that I already posted, there were plenty of other threads with a mention of "rukshuk".

2. just reinstall Links

Good luck!

Armand from the forum here posted a Links 2001 NOCD which contains the file you are having problems with. I know because I came across the thread and downloaded the NOCD thinking I may try Links 2001 eventually and it may come in handy. You might want to replace your file with his and see if it works. Sorry, don't have a link to the thread so try a search.

Here is the thread Max64 was referring to: http://www.linkscorner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33095, Armand's post is the 7th post down.

The link Armand created, http://ge.tt/8k5qJCV2/v/0?c, is still active.
