| Poplar Grove Golf Club is similar to several courses in my area that have small groves of trees/foliage as well as individual trees of the same type and size that are placed between the fairways. It has two par 4's over or near 500 yards and the longest par 5 is nearly 620 yards making the overall length of the course 7104 yards. The Par 3 15th has a green only 7 yards wide and the Par 5 13th has a tee shot landing area only 5 yards wide making it the hardest hole on the course and birdie is the best possible score if you do everything right. Poplar Grove has a nice mix of well placed bunkers and water hazards and could certainly be a PGA Tour location if it were real. |
